Island Occupational Medical Resources, P.C. (IOMR) was established in 1995, by Jorge L. Gardyn, M.D., F.A.C.P., to provide professional medical services to examine firefighters according to NFPA, OSHA, PESH, and DOT regulations.

IOMR’s commitment is not limited to annual physical examinations, but is aimed at prevention of health related incidents as well as supporting medical needs throughout the year. Immunizations, return-to-duty evaluation, and Worker’s Compensation cases are handled at our facility.

Firefighter examinations are available at your facility on weekends and evenings. Your firefighters may also be examined in our office in Amityville at their convenience.
